The space between rafters and the thickness of the rafters of the existing framework are unimportant. The 30-micron aluminium retains 100% of its insulation efficiency even when covered in dust over the years. No condensation: the warm and humid air inside the house is not in contact with the cold air outside, due to the construction principle of two separate non-contacting layers enclosing dry and stable air bubbles.  No thermal bridge: Aluthermo® can be installed above or below the rafters. It therefore covers the entire surface to be insulated, without any interruption. Consequently, it prevents the creation of thermal “bridges” that could otherwise occur when laying insulation between rafters. Acoustic attenuation: The various constituent layers of Aluthermo® absorb sounds and therefore provide efficient soundproofing against the noise nuisance from the street (mopeds and motorbikes, cars, shouting etc.) Indigestible to rodents: no deterioration or unpleasant smells caused by mice, rats, stone martens etc. Fire retardant: Aluthermo® has been fireproofed: classified M1 – A1 – B1 according to building standards in the event of fire.
